Portsmouth Ice Rink, Guildhall Square. Saturday 23 November 2024 – Sunday 5 January 2025.
The Operator reserves the right to refuse admission to the Ice Rink and any area surrounding the Ice Rink and/or the venue and shall be entitled to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of all visitors.
Tickets cannot be cancelled, resold or refunded. To do so or to alter or deface any ticket will render it void. Subject to availability, and at the management’s discretion, if requested in writing at least 48 hours prior to the booked session start time, tickets may be transferred to another session. It is the visitor’s responsibility to check his or her tickets as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
Portsmouth On Ice will operate in almost all weather conditions. Occasionally, inclement weather can disrupt ice skating sessions. In the unlikely event any session is cancelled, or curtailed, refunds will only be given if such cancellation or curtailment occurs after less than 30 minutes of skating time has taken place in the session in which case ticket holders will be offered alternative sessions (subject to availability).
Portsmouth On Ice shall be entitled to remove anyone who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or who in the reasonable opinion of the management is conducting themselves in a manner inappropriate to their continued attendance, from the Ice Rink or surrounding areas at any time. Onsite security will assist if required.
Smoking, eating, drinking and the use of photographic and recording equipment or mobile phones is prohibited whilst ice skating for health and safety reasons. Those refusing to refrain from this behaviour may be asked to leave the Ice Rink immediately.
All tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue, and licensing laws.
Portsmouth On Ice will not be responsible for any tickets which are lost or stolen.
Each visitor is responsible for attending their session approximately 30 minutes before the session time starts. Portsmouth On Ice is not obliged to refund the ticket or reallocate a new session time if the visitor turns up late for any reason or misses all, or part, of their session.
The ticket holder has a right only to an ice skating session of the value corresponding to that stated on the ticket. Portsmouth On Ice reserves the right to request ID and/or proof of booking to grant access to the Ice Rink.
Each skating session is 60 minutes long. Ticket holders will not be permitted to continue skating once their allocated session is over.
By entering the site, visitors consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded and consent to such photographs, films or recordings being used by Portsmouth On Ice to publicise the event. Any visitors specifically wishing to be excluded from such promotional materials should make their presence known to staff before they skate, and preferably in writing to enquiries@portsmouthiceskating.uk
All customers that ice skate or enter any part of the Ice Rink and surrounding areas do so at their own risk and Portsmouth On Ice shall not be liable for any loss or damage other than death or personal injury arising from the Portsmouth On Ice’s negligence.
Portsmouth On Ice accepts no responsibility for damage, loss or theft of any personal property that occurs whilst ticket holders are enjoying the Ice Rink or any part of the site or in any part of the event site, structures or surrounding areas.
In the event of any conflict between these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions imposed by any ticket agency, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
Ice Rink minimum age policy: The minimum age requirement for any customer to use the Ice Rink is 3 years old. All 3 to 7 year olds must be accompanied onto the ice by an adult (someone 18 years old and above) in ice skates, with up to a maximum of 5 children per adult. Portsmouth On Ice reserves the right to refuse entry to the Ice Rink for any customer under this age requirement. Please note, while a limited number of skate aids will be available to support and encourage young skaters, small children can sometimes be a little nervous skating for the first time. We therefore strongly suggest considering this and viewing the Ice Rink before purchasing a ticket for a small child; once the child has placed boots on and stepped on to the Ice Rink refunds will not be available.
Wheelchair access: the Ice Rink does cater for wheelchair users providing they are accompanied by a carer. Portsmouth On Ice does not and is not obliged to provide a carer, nor has the staffing capacity to provide a carer. Skate Marshals will be onsite to support where necessary and ensure an enjoyable experience for all, but are in place to maintain health and safety for ALL skaters and cannot dedicate their time to specific people.
Disabled users: the Ice Rink does cater for disabled users providing they are accompanied by a carer and can safely partake in the activity of ice skating. Please note, there are a number of dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) sessions available for those who would like a quiet, slower paced skating session. Ice skate hire is included in the ticket price. Customers can use their own skates if preferred. Portsmouth On Ice is not responsible for customers’ own skates, shoes or property. There is no reduction in price for customers wishing to bring their own skates and stakes deemed unsafe may be refused access to the Ice Rink. In this case, the customer will be provided with skates from the Skate Exchange onsite.
In the event any session is cancelled or curtailed, ticket holders will be offered alternative sessions (subject to availability) if less than 30 minutes of ice-skating time has taken, or will take, place during that session.
Use of own skates: Ice skates are included in the price of all tickets and provided by the Portsmouth On Ice. For VAT purposes the portion of the ticket price attributable to the provision of skates is £6.50. The rest of the ticket price is attributable to the provision of the rink itself and all operational matters. Portsmouth On Ice does permit skaters to bring their own skates and figure and hockey skates are allowed, but the organisers reserve the right not to allow skates deemed to be unsafe. There will be no discounts or change to the pricing for those who bring their own skates and the full package price remains chargeable.
