Queueing and spectating

To keep our visitors safe and to assist with people flow, we have made slight changes to the flow of arrivals.  On arrival for your session, please collect your skates and queue beside the rink ready to enter the Ice Rink underneath the big screen.  We’ve changed the flow to ensure there is ample space for those coming on to the rink and those exiting.  When exiting the Ice Rink after your session you will exit from the gate closest to Skate Exchange and depart. Spectators are welcome during sessions.  Please follow the directional signage and let our team direct you to the best place to watch, safely at the time.  And please remember, the team is there to help everyone have an enjoyable and safe experience.

Unless exempt, please wear a face covering in the Skate Exchange area while you are collecting your boots and please sanitise your hands on arrival.

Before you skate

We have also put some additional cleaning measures in place in between sessions: 

We are using fogging machines to fully sanitise our ice skating boots in between each use. 

The seating area and the rink handrail will also be sanitised with foggers in between each session.

Please ensure you sanitise your hands before entering the rink and arrive at least 15 minutes before your skate sessions starts.  

Portsmouth On Ice Covid policy

Portsmouth On Ice follows all government guidance and conforms to Public Health England standards in relation to COVID-19 . Should changes to your booking be necessary, the Portsmouth On Ice team will be in touch. 

In the event any session is cancelled or curtailed, ticket holders will be offered alternative sessions (subject to availability) if less than 30 minutes of ice-skating time has taken, or will take, place during that session. 

If you, or any member of your party, are unable to attend your session due to Covid restrictions, symptoms or self-isolation, we will allow you to rebook your tickets either for later in the season or to carry them over to the next season. If deemed necessary, we may ask for supporting evidence such as a copy of positive PCR results. 

If we are unable to honour your booking due to Covid restrictions, we will offer you a reschedule or a refund minus the £1.20 per ticket booking fee.
